My favorite elopement location is Girdwood because of the endless beautiful backdrops. There is easy access to mountain views, waterfalls, rivers and tram access up a mountain. Girdwood borders the northernmost rainforest in the world and the landscape in this area is vast. I love when couples pick this location and want to explore all the beautiful spots it has to offer. It is only a short 45 minute drive to Anchorage which makes planning a destination elopement easy.
